All for the glory of God

I used to think that, as the years went by, life would get easier. But with time and maturity, I’ve learned that struggles don’t vanish; they simply change. There is no such thing as a trouble-free life. And with every Promised Land there is a giant.

Before David could move along his path to kingship, he had to defeat Goliath (1 Samuel 17). Before the Israelites could possess the Promised Land, they had to confront descendants of Anak, who came from Nephilim, who were described as a race of giants (Numbers 13:33).

And on your road to destiny, you will encounter various giants. The truth is,  we all must face opposition. While your obstacles aren’t the same as mine, we all have them. The great news about that is, as long as Christ is lord over our lives, we also have the victory through Him.

Perhaps you’re staring a giant called lack in the face. Instead of developing a scarcity mindset that says there will never be enough, remind yourself that God is a provider. He has whatever you need in abundance and Philippians 4:19 promises, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

I think we all tend to feel a bit uneasy when we get concerned about running out of something we need, right? We think about how disastrous it would be to run out of money, time, strength, provision, opportunities, or options.

In John 2, during a wedding at Cana, the people ran out of wine. Remember that? So Jesus told His disciples to get six stone water jars that could hold 20-30 gallons each and fill them with water. After they obeyed, Jesus turned that water into wine—His first public miracle—and ordered that some of it be given to the master of the banquet.

When the master of the banquet tasted the wine created by the Master of the whole universe, the Bible says he summoned the groom and told him, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

Friend, in your life, God has saved the best till now. The best door is opening. The best way is being made. The best outcome is about to manifest. The best season of your life is ahead of you. If you have been feeling weary and worried because your supply seems low in some area of your life, relax. It will not run out. God will sustain you.

In Cana, the Bible says Jesus' water-to-wine miracle was “the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory.” That’s precisely what God is doing in your life: revealing His glory. Trust Him for provision.

To help you do that, I’m stirring Psalm 34:10 NIV into your cup of inspiration, which says, “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, you will rejoice in knowing that, as long as you seek God and obey His word, you need not worry over lack. God will provide everything you need.

If you are presently waiting for manifestation, your wedding at Cana moment is about to happen. When your breakthrough comes, you will surely say, God saved the best till now! You will declare, He did the impossible in my life. You will know that His word is true and that He is a restorer. You will finally see clearly that you had to endure this all for the glory of God.

Be encouraged!

Let’s pray.

God, I resist worry, fear and stress. Instead of fretting over what I don’t have, I will focus on the fact that Your supply is inexhaustible and You have everything I need. Thank You in advance for making ways for me that I could not see, for opening doors that were once shut, and for doing the impossible in my life. Whenever You allow these miraculous ways, doors and blessings to show up, I will ever give Your name all my worship, all my praise, all the glory and the honor, for it belongs to You anyway. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
