Someone created a fake Facebook profile posing as me, sending fraudulent friend requests and even sharing exchanges with those God has graced me to be connected to. I so value the Kingdom connections that have been built over the years and am quite protective over them.

I can’t imagine why someone would do that, but I know exactly what motivates deception and manipulation: the work of the enemy.

Whenever we are doing Kingdom work, Satan hates it and will do his best to distract and detract from what God is doing. But he has no power. Not in this or anything else. I have seen the adversary come at me in much worse ways, but whatever he does, the remedy is the same: I call upon the name of the Lord. And the outcome is the same: God causes all things to work for my good.

In 2 Chronicles 20, when enemies came against King Jehoshaphat, Judah and Jerusalem, they called on the name of the Lord. And God told Jehoshaphat, “You will not need to fight in this battle.” 

The next day, sure enough, just as God said, they didn’t even have to lift a finger against their enemies. Rather than fight, Jehoshaphat appointed people to sing to the Lord. As they worshiped, God won the battle for them.

On another occasion, in Deuteronomy 25:17-29, the Amalekites, a nomadic tribe that descended from Esau, attacked Israel from behind. This was both a cruel and cowardly war strategy. While Israel was tired and weary, the Amalekites ambushed them by overtaking the stragglers—the elderly, women and children.

In Exodus 17:8-16, we are taken directly into a battle between Israel and the Amalekites in Rephidim. The Bible says, as long as Moses’ arms were lifted up, Israel prevailed. When he dropped his arms from weariness, Amalek prevailed. So Aaron and Hur, the two men with Moses, sat him down on a rock. Aaron stood on one side and Hur on the other. Both held up his arms. They assisted a weak and worn out Moses by keeping his hands raised and steady until the sun went down. And Israel prevailed.

After winning that fierce battle and successfully contending with the enemy, God promised Israel he would wipe the Amalekites out. So there, at the site of victory, Moses built an altar unto the Lord and called it Jehovah Nissi, meaning “The Lord is my banner.”

In Numbers 2:2, we see banners were symbolic of tribes or families that individuals within the nation of Israel belonged to. Each tribe had its own separate and distinct banner. But when it came to waging war against the enemy, Israel united under a single banner of the Most High God, under His leadership and guidance. He was their war commander with an undefeated record.

Jehovah Nissi, their Father, their sustainer, their protector, their defender, and everything they needed, rose up against the enemy and won the war.

Friend, it is that same Jehovah Nissi who fought for Israel that fights for you. He is defending you, covering you and favoring you at every turn. Even when the enemy fights dirty and comes after you with a sneak attack, God will openly give you the victory.

So get ready to rejoice. Right now it may not look good. Your arms may be tired. You might feel worn down like Moses did, weak and weary from the long battle.

God knows.

And here’s what He wants you to do: rest on the Rock. Christ, the Rock of your salvation, will uphold you, strengthen you and help you complete the process that leads you to the victory that is already waiting for you.

To remind you that you have victory through Him, I’m stirring a portion of Exodus 17:15 into your cup of inspiration, which says, “The LORD Is My Banner.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, know that as long as Jehovah Nissi, your Banner, the hope of glory, is on your side, no weapon will prevail against you. You have already won. Declare your victory over sickness and disease; over lack; over relationship issues; over spiritual attacks; over what has come against your entire family and household.

You are not defeated. You are more than a conqueror. Go ahead and praise God for your favorable outcome.

Now let’s pray.

God, Satan is attacking but I know I am more than a conqueror through You! So I thank You for victory. I declare by faith that nothing the enemy tries will by any means hurt me. I give Your name the praise and glory for blessings and manifestation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
