Your deliverance is guaranteed

It happened when Kenya was driving the family minivan. All of a sudden, he heard a grinding sound when he pressed on the brakes.

What was that?

We knew the brakes likely needed repairing, so off to the shop we went— a trip we just so happened to share on Wednesday’s vlog. I’ve added the video for you at the bottom of this post. Turns out, the back brakes needed to be repaired.

When we got to the counter at the shop called Monroe Muffler, the serviceman asked us if we had a warranty. Kenya couldn’t remember and neither could I.

So he made a phone call and came back with some good news.

The last time we purchased back brakes, we got a warranty on them, so they were fully covered and we didn’t have to pay for them again! Don’t you just love news like that? We had a written promise that the manufacturer would repair or replace our brakes whenever they got worn out free of charge. Even though we didn’t recall that at first, it didn’t change the fact that the guarantee was in place.

Thank God the gentleman helping us track down information about our warranty on record. Otherwise, we could have ended up paying a price we didn’t have to.

Now think about this from a spiritual perspective. You, too, have a “warranty”—a guarantee or promise—issued by the Manufacturer Himself, God. He assures you that, when you are broken down and in need of repair; hurting and in need of restoration; weary, tormented and wounded, and in need of healing; the Lord will rush to your aid. He will take care of you.

Psalm 34:17 says, “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”

Verse 19 of this same Psalm reiterates, “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.”

You have a guarantee that deliverance is coming! That word “delivers” in Psalm 34:19 is the Hebrew word natsal (pronounced naw-tsal'), which means to snatch away, defend, preserve, rescue, or save… without fail. So this verse offers a promise, a warranty, and an irrevocable guarantee. If the righteous get in trouble, God will show up on the scene and snatch them out of the grip of that trouble—guaranteed.

You may not know how or when God will do it, but you can be sure He will.

Unfortunately, however, when life gets hectic and trouble is intense, we can easily forget that we have this guarantee. We don’t call to mind the promises of God. So we end up paying for our forgetfulness by walking around discouraged, worried and stressed out. We get fretful, irritated and upset. We don’t whip out all those written promises found in the word of God that assure us of our deliverance.

Friend, don’t forget your guarantee. God is sending this reminder that your deliverance is sure. No matter what’s going on right now, He is going to snatch you out of it. Don’t be worried at all. He will defend you; restore you; preserve you; elevate you; and use your life as an example.

The wonderful thing about Heaven’s warranty is that it never expires and God can be trusted to honor His word every single time… without fail.

He has a mighty plan of deliverance. He is going to restore what you’ve lost, replenish what is depleted and make all things new again.

To remind you that God won’t leave you in this predicament, I’m stirring Psalm 34:19 NASB, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, instead of fretting over how many afflictions you have, rejoice knowing that God is guaranteed to deliver you out of every single one of them.

It’s only a matter of time.

Know that He has the solution. Before the wind began blowing, He had a plan to calm it. Before the storm started raging, He had a strategy to make it subside. Before trouble ever arose, Jesus arose from the grave with all power in His hands.

He’s got this.

He’s got you.

Don’t be afraid.

Trust Him only.

He has a mighty plan for your deliverance.

It’s guaranteed.

Now let’s pray.

God, I am facing a storm. I am dealing with uncertain times. And yet, I know You are my present help in the time of trouble. Though I cannot always feel You or perceive Your presence, I know You are with me. By faith, I rejoice and declare that the way is already made. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
