God will do it totally & completely!

A memory brought a smile to my face the other day. I was driving down the street one afternoon in the spring of 2017. I was on my way to Niagara Falls, NY—the city where God healed me.

If someone was looking through my window that day, they probably would have thought I was very sad. Quite the opposite was true. I was crying behind the wheel of my car not from overwhelming sadness, but rather, overwhelming gratitude.

How was it that, just weeks earlier, I had been bedridden and in pain, given the worst possible news from a doctor, and stripped of all hope, to suddenly being perfectly healthy? It didn’t make any sense to my natural mind. Life had gone back to normal.

All I could say was “Thank You, Jesus!”

He did the miraculous. He totally and completely turned my life around in an instant. I know some people say God doesn’t do that anymore. They argue that this isn’t “the age of miracles.”

That’s not in the least bit true. The same Jesus who healed the sick in Bible days, is still working miracles to this day. Amen?

Amen.

Earlier, I was reading Matthew 8:14-15. Here we see that the mother-in-law of Simon Peter, Jesus’ disciple, had fallen ill. Jesus went to her home after healing a demon-possessed man in the synagogue in Capernaum. He was asked to help her as she lay in bed with a fever.

According to verse 15, Jesus touched her hand. Additionally, in the account in Luke 4:38-39, we see that Jesus bent down and rebuked the fever.

The result?

Instantaneously, the woman fully recovered. She was totally and completely made whole. She showed no signs of weakness or frailty. There was no gradual recuperation. In a blink, everything changed.

After Jesus worked that miracle, Peter’s mother-in-law got up and resumed life as normal. She went right back to serving, tending to the needs of Jesus and the household. Just like that, her suffering ended.

Friend, I’m here to give you an encouraging word: God is going to use His power to return some things back to normal in your life. He’s going to regulate, restore and work miracles for you. Perhaps you have felt out of balance. Your struggle has been intense. The storm came and upset the natural flow and rhythm of life. Nothing seems stable or regulated. You need God to intervene and change things.

Well, get ready for that change to happen.

God is rebuking whatever it is that has come against His plan and He’s changing things for the better. Hold on to that belief. He will shift things totally and completely. Don’t lose hope for your turnaround.

To strengthen and encourage your heart, I’m stirring 1 Thessalonians 5:23-28 MSG into your cup of inspiration, which says, “May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together - spirit, soul, and body - and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he'll do it!”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, believe God to do it for you. Your faith activates His power. So activate your faith, and watch what God does next.

He will get the glory.

Now let’s pray.

God, I need a turnaround in my life. Some things have been out of order, out of balance, and very difficult to handle. But I declare that this is my season for change. I am trusting You for my shift this year. Thank You for doing it for me totally and completely. I claim my deliverance by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
