Tell doubt to get out!
Someone was recently talking to me about my March 2017 healing service, and I love being reminded of it!
Doctors had given up on me, and there seemed to be no hope left. But the 50 intercessors that were assigned to me that Sunday night set the atmosphere in the church by saturating the sanctuary with prayer.
There was no casual conversation allowed, only prayer and expectation. After the prayer warriors set the atmosphere, by the time I was carried into the sanctuary by my husband, sick and feeble, my affliction was assaulted by the power of God and had no choice but to flee.
God healed me that night, and the autoimmune conditions that were eating away at my body—severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia— have not since returned. God is yet a healer, friend!
When you want something from the Lord, set the atmosphere for miracles. You do that by trusting Him totally.
In Matthew 9:18-19; 23-26, Jesus had to set the atmosphere for miracles. A leader of a synagogue, Jairus, came and knelt before Jesus after his daughter had passed away. He told the Master, my daughter is dead and gone, “but you can bring her back to life again.”
Now that’s some incredible faith Jairus displayed! After all, this was no small thing he was asking Jesus to do. He wasn’t simply requesting healing from a malady but resurrection from the dead.
When Jesus got to the man’s house, however, the atmosphere was filled with grief and sorrow, noisy mourners, and funeral music. How was the Lord supposed to perform a miracle in that environment?
Jesus said to everybody, “Get out!”—which is exactly what you need to tell your doubts when you’re expecting a miracle.
Jesus then said that the girl wasn’t dead but sleeping, but the folks at the house didn’t believe it and laughed at him. But once the doubters were forced outside, that’s when Jesus was able to do His work, because the atmosphere was finally right.
The Savior took the girl by the hand, and she stood up! Scripture says, “The report of this miracle swept through the entire countryside” (v. 26).
The miracle, my friend, couldn’t happen until Jesus set the right conditions by telling doubt to get out!
And this is your day to do the same thing. If you are believing God to enter your situation and turn some things around, expel doubt.
As someone who has experienced Christ’s miracle-working power on more than one occasion, I’m telling you what I know. God is able to restore what you’ve lost, resurrect situations that appear dead, reverse health conditions doctors say are irreversible, and lift you up where you’re lowly. Before He can do it, though, you’ve got to tell doubt to go. Tell fear to go. Tell skepticism to go. Turn off the sad songs and fill your space with worship and praise.
Prepare your heart and mind for the supernatural shift that’s on the way.
To help you do that, I’m stirring just two words from Matthew 9:24 NLT into your cup of inspiration that you need to tell doubt today: “Get out!”
As you drink down the contents of your cup, know this: as you shift the atmosphere in your house, God will shift the circumstances in your life.
Now, let’s pray.
God, thank You for reminding me that doubt is a hindrance, but faith is the key that unlocks miracles. So, I come against doubt, fear, and worry, and charge the atmosphere of my life with faith, fully expecting You to do the impossible as only You can. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
