It will surely come!

Have you ever been in limbo, waiting for an answer, solution, or breakthrough? If so, you know that seasons like this can be frustrating.

Terribly so.

I know.

But if you don’t give up hope, God will without a doubt faithfully perform His word. And I believe He sent me to give you a good word: surely, breakthrough is coming!

My youngest daughter, Kaiah, is in college and has been perplexed about some course work. Over the weekend, she was working on an essay but was having trouble pulling her thoughts together. For a while, she sat in front of a blank page on the computer screen feeling stressed.

The moment I saw her, I noticed the signs of concern and mental fatigue on her face. So, I told her to do some freewriting meaning type her thoughts without worrying about structure.

“First focus on what you have to say, not on how to say it. Once you get your ideas down, then you can structure it,” I explained. I also encouraged and reminded her that she was more than capable of completing the task.

When I came back about 20 minutes later to check on her, she looked up at me with that glowing smile I adore. The page was no longer blank; Ms. Kaiah was officially on a roll.

“Alright, now!” I exclaimed.

Before quietly backing away and closing the door, I shared a bit more motivation because I know well the struggle of completing tasks that seem hard and confusing.

For instance, there is something I’ve been personally working on for a few years and haven’t gotten it done yet. The lack of progress has felt discouraging at times, but my hope is forever and always in God. Recently, He sent the help I need to move forward.

Isn’t God faithful?

Listen, I know the waiting phase often lingers longer than we’d like—especially when the days and weeks turn into months then years. Even so, losing hope and giving up are not options. There is too much God has in store for you to throw in the towel now. Sure, it would be much more convenient if everything in life were clearly spelled out, straightforward, and quick.

We’d love to receive an exact timeline for manifestation and have the blessing delivered to our door like an Amazon Prime package. But God loves to throw a little mystery into the mix. He doesn’t always reveal His plans.

Why not? Well, Romans 8:24-25 tells us, “But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

Delay, then, builds endurance. It teaches us to exercise patient faith so that the absence of manifestation does not equal the absence of expectation.

Today, I believe that God sent me to encourage you not to wallow in discouragement and worry. Granted, you may not know what to do or how to do it, but the Lord knows how. You may not know how to deal with a specific issue, but the Lord knows how. You may not see how to make it through this test, but the Lord knows how. You may be confused about how to proceed, but the Lord knows how.

So, trust Him. Stand on His word. View your circumstances and issues through the lens of Scripture. There is power in the Gospel which is something the Sadducees in Matthew 22:23-33 did not recognize.

Though these men were powerful among the Jews in Israel, well-versed in the law, and for the most part well-off, when it came to spiritual matters, Jesus told them, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God” (v. 29).

What a terrible state to be in, right? They were confused about Kingdom principles and rejected some of the fundamental teachings of Jesus—namely the resurrection in which they did not believe. Too bad the Sadducees could not see that hope and faith work together to unlock the mysteries of the Kingdom and release the bountiful blessings reserved for the Redeemed of the Lord.

Thank God, the faith and hope that the Sadducees rejected, you have openly received. Thus, you are positioned to get all God has for you. However long it takes, cling to hope, and God will break things wide open for you!

A portion of Habakkuk 2:3 ESV, which is the sweetener I’m stirring into your cup of inspiration, says, “If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, whatever you’re believing God for, I want you to declare by faith, “It will surely come.”

You may be weeping now, but joy is coming. You may be lacking now, but increase is coming. You may be sick now, but healing is coming. You may be taking losses now, but restoration is coming. You may feel stuck now, but breakthrough is coming.

It will surely come. Exercise patient faith, and your confidence in God will be richly rewarded (Hebrews 10:35).

Pray this prayer.

God, thank You for assuring me that the delay does not cancel out Your faithfulness, Your reliability, Your consistency and Your promises. I believe my breakthrough will surely come as You have spoken. Until such a time as it manifests, I will hope in You, wait patiently for You, and praise You for the good things that are yet to come. I declare that it is done by faith! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you desire prayer, please allow me, along with my intercessory prayer team, to stand in faith with you for breakthrough. We would be so honored. We have seen God work over and over again. There is power in agreement. Click here to request prayer now.

As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
