Choose to rejoice every day!
Sometimes, the best cure for misery is memory. If you can remember how God healed you before, restored you, blessed you, rescued you, protected you, and worked a miracle for you, you will find a reason this day—whatever kind of day it is—to rejoice and be glad in it.
When you don’t understand why…praise!
Hard and confusing times will come. That’s unavoidable. Disappointments will try to rob you of faith, snatch away your joy, and steal your song. But you don’t have to let disappointment and discouragement win. Keep on singing, pushing forward, trusting God, and expecting deliverance.
Command your soul to praise the Lord
God has been good. His mercy is new every day. You may not have everything you want, but God keeps on supplying your needs. Every day isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but the Lord gives you joy in the midst of sorrow. He gives you peace in confusion. Command your soul to bless His name!
Take a stroll down memory lane
When life gets overwhelming or Satan attacks, it’s important to find a place where you can get quiet, and do a little thinking about God’s past displays of His power and majesty in your life. You’ll no doubt come away praising and rejoicing, and your faith will be stronger than ever!
As you praise God will work
Give God glory in the midst of the battle. Worship in the beauty of holiness. Things happen when you praise. Atmospheres shift when you worship. Strongholds are destroyed in God’s presence, which is exactly what you invoke when you glorify Him.
