God will reward your confidence

The other day, I created a personal Facebook page after only having a public page for years. I want to be even more connected to family, friends, supporters, and loved ones on the Internet. I didn’t anticipate that simply creating a new profile would cause so much chaos.

Well, it did.

It was hilarious to me that nobody believed it was actually me at first. I had to post several messages on social media, record and upload a video, and even have family members help validate my claims that I was the real Dianna Hobbs.

On my public page, there is a blue checkmark Facebook has placed next to my name to signify that I am officially who I say I am. This makes it harder for others to imitate me and take advantage of others in my name.

No such mark or indicator, however, exists for my newest personal page.

So I received a flood of calls, texts, and emails from those in my network trying to confirm my identity. Some, who assumed the worst right away, messaged me to say, there is an imposter on Facebook requesting people in your name.

Thinking about the fact that others had to first confirm my identity before trusting me, has made the interpretation of a frequently quoted scripture really come alive.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

To reiterate the scripture, the person that comes to God “must believe that He is.” That means you have to have confidence in God’s existence, character, power and sovereignty. When you believe wholeheartedly in Him and His power and you faithfully seek Him, He will reward you.

God is about to reward you in a big way because you dared to trust Him!

Friend, there are benefits, perks and blessings stored up for individuals who place their confidence in God completely. Are you one of them?

When you accept and embrace that God is who He says He is and can do what He says He can do, you tap into His power as never before. On the other hand, if you walk in doubt, fear, worry and anxiety, and fail to trust God, He cannot reveal His glory in your life.

This makes me think about Exodus 3, when God sent Moses to deliver Israel. At first, Moses was worried about his own credibility. What if people don’t believe in me and my mission? he wondered.

So Moses asked God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?’ God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.’ And he said, ‘Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

God was making the point that He exists; He is self-sufficient; He never changes; He has complete, absolute, all-encompassing power.

And when Moses boldly walked in the revelation of that truth, signs and wonders followed him. God showed up and empowered him to release Israel after 400 years of enslavement.

Look at how God rewarded Moses’ willingness to overcome doubt and fear, and finally embrace obedience and confidence in the one who sent him. The Lord will also reward your confidence!

God is still the great I Am. He is everything you need Him to be. So you can safely put your hope in Him and be assured that He won’t let you down. He won’t let you fall. He won’t let you go under. He will never forsake you. You never have to worry about Him being too weak to work things out for you. There is no failure in God.

God’s word to you today is: I am a way-maker; I am a strong tower; I am a refuge; I am a healer; I am a redeemer; I am a sustainer; I am a provider; I am everything you need and more!

If you have lost sight on who God is because you have shifted your focus to your negative circumstances, it’s time to refocus. Get your eyes off of the problem and get them on the problem-solver. Stop fretting over what is and rejoice over I Am and what He’s able to do despite the situation.

To help you place your confidence in God, I’m stirring Psalm 9:10 NIV into your cup of inspiration, which says, “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, rejoice over the fact that God honors faith. He rewards confidence. He has an amazing benefits package reserved for those that dare to trust Him against all odds.

Remain unwavering in your faith and watch God reveal Himself. You will see Him open doors, make ways, and bless you beyond measure.

He’ll most assuredly reward your confidence in Him in ways you never imagined He would.

Now let’s pray.
