28 Days of Gratitude: Day 17
God advocates for His people. Trust the Lord to be your defender, and thank Him for standing up for you. Praise Him for defeating every enemy on your behalf. Rejoice that the weapon formed against you won’t prosper, and be grateful that Jesus Christ intercedes for you in unfavorable circumstances.
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 16
We all like to get our way. But sometimes, what we want and think we need is not what God is interested in doing. He is after something far more important and valuable. Instead of complaining and being frustrated, how about being grateful for what God is teaching you in this season?
28 Days of Gratitude: Day #10
Unless you guard your heart with Scripture, the intensity of your tests and troubles will make you angry, discontented, and heavy. Without the sword of the Spirit, which Ephesians 6:17 tells us is the word of God, your complaint will be given free rein, and bitterness will only grow.
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 8
God wants us all to be content and not entitled. When we remain grateful where we are on our way to where we want to be, God sees that, and He delights in it. Sometimes, do you feel like life isn’t fair, and you aren’t getting what you deserve? This will help you change your mindset and see God’s goodness everywhere!
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 7
What do you think would happen if, when you were challenged to do something that went above and beyond your ability, you began thanking God for His wonderful, preexisting plan? What if you flipped things and started automatically assuming that, God has to have a divine strategy?
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 6
We have a need to make logical sense of things, and when they don’t add up, we often complain and look for someone to blame. Do you ever find yourself blaming God for failing you? What about blaming yourself? How can you change your thinking and your response?
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 5
Do you begin complaining when things don’t go your way, and God doesn’t meet your expectations? Do you get frustrated or angry when what you hoped for, prayed for, and waited for fail to materialize? Even though you say God is in control, do you sort of wish you had more control of things?
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 4
In times of crisis, do you let your internal storm lead you to believe the worst and overlook the faithfulness of God? It’s very common to go into panic mode, complain, and convince yourself that God is far away and not doing anything to help you. But you can self-correct and reverse this habit.
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 3
Have your trials ever given you a temporary case of amnesia and made you forget how faithful God is? Has prolonged trouble worn you down and pushed you into a cycle of complaining? Has a series of setbacks caused you to worry more than you worship?
28 Days of Gratitude: Day 2
As emotionally unsettling as waiting, struggling, and not knowing may be, we all deal with this. No one fully knows the will of God. That’s why you can’t let your feelings lead you, or you will complain and embrace a false narrative that says, God doesn’t hear me…
