Your breakthrough & breakout season
God sent you here today to give you this message: He is going to cause you to advance, break out, and be fruitful in the things He has called you to. The Lord has plans to bless you with a bountiful harvest as you stay connected to Him. Good things are on the way for you!
As I was milling around the kitchen last week, a memory surfaced. I saw myself as a young girl crushing grapes with my family and making our own jelly. When I called to ask my parents about the recollection, they confirmed the validity of the flashback. We used to make grape preserves and store them in jars sealed with wax, explained Mom and Dad. My father learned the process from his mother and passed it down to us.
Pretty neat, right?
And let me tell you what, Bestie, that jelly was delicious, hear me? Lip-smacking good. So good, in fact, Smucker’s had nothing on our homemade preserves!
The experience of jelly-making made an impact on me and taught me early on how fruit can be used to make different things. Also, this resurfaced memory provided some good context for my morning Bible reading in Ezekiel 15.
In this chapter, God was not happy. He was incensed because “Jerusalem”—the Jews—had been unfaithful and unfruitful, rebellious and unrepentant. They disobeyed and weren’t the least bit contrite.
To paint a word picture of the Jews’ unfruitfulness, God talked to Ezekiel the Prophet about the useless wood from fruitless grapevines. He explained that unlike the wood of other trees growing in the forest that can be repurposed to make things, the wood of a grapevine isn’t useful at all. His chosen people weren’t useful either.
What a sad state.
Though the Jews in Ezekiel’s day were unfruitful and unfaithful, we don’t have to be. When we submit to God, He transforms us from the inside out, making spiritual growth inevitable. Furthermore, being fruitful is easy when we do what Jesus said and stay connected to Him, the true vine (John 15
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit” (v. 5 NLT).
Psalm 1:1-3 further promises that connectedness to Christ through obedience guarantees that we will be “like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.” If we remain steadfast in His word, He promises that we will “prosper” in all we do.
The word prosper in verse 3 is a Greek word meaning to push forward, advance, break out, succeed, be profitable, and experience prosperity. So then living according to God’s precepts and principles sets you up to prosper. Of course, that doesn’t mean you will never suffer or that everything will go your way all the time; such fanciful thinking is inconsistent with Scripture. However, it does mean that you can trust God, the promise-keeper, to release blessings and favor in response to your faithfulness, according to His perfect will.
And here’s the exciting part: if you know you have been walking with the Lord and staying connected to the vine, it’s only a matter of time before the promises of God manifest. Hang in there.
Whatever situation you’re in today, the Lord sent me to challenge you. By faith, praise God in advance for your breakout and breakthrough season. Rejoice for your overflowing harvest. Expect elevation and advancement. God is propelling you forward for his glory.
By faith, tell God, “Thank You for my breakout and breakthrough season!”
It’s coming.
To confirm that the Lord is speaking, I’m stirring Revelation 1:3 (NCV) into your cup of inspiration, which says, “Blessed is the one who reads the words of God’s message, and blessed are the people who hear this message and do what is written in it. The time is near when all of this will happen.”
As you drink down the contents of your cup and receive this word, know that everything God has spoken will happen. There’s a harvest with your name on it, a blessing with your address on it, and a breakthrough with your date of destiny on it.
Oh, glory to His name.
Receive it! Now, let’s pray.
God, by faith, I rejoice for my breakout and breakthrough season that’s on the way! As I wait for manifestation, I decree and declare that it is mine, and I shall have everything You promised. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you desire prayer, please allow me, along with my intercessory prayer team, to stand in faith with you for breakthrough. We would be so honored. We have seen God work over and over again. There is power in agreement. Click here to request prayer now.
