When you least expect it

During a phone conversation, my 86-year-old father, Bishop Joseph Brinson, Sr., said to me this morning, “The blessing comes when we least expect it, but we pray with expectation.”

That’s a good word, isn’t it?

This was part of Dad’s response to news of the latest miraculous manifestation in my life. Just this morning during my prayer and devotion time, God’s presence showed up, and He did something totally unexpected.

God restored my speech—completely! Glory to His great and mighty name.

If you follow this ministry closely, then you know that in 2019, my ministroke and seizures caused brain trauma. As a result, there are certain words I have been unable to say since that time.

Oh, but I had an true encounter with God at around 5 AM. During this divine visitation, the Lord instructed me to say words that no longer come out right. As I opened my mouth and began to speak in obedience to Him, I uttered those challenging words clearly and effortlessly.

I stood in my room astonished. Dumbfounded. Confused. I was speechless over the miracle God performed in my speech. How ironic.

I wasn’t even praying for restoration of my speech today. In fact, that was the furthest thing from my mind. Nevertheless, this is the day God chose to heal me—almost three years after my medical emergency negatively impacted my cognitive ability. He said, “Woman, thou art loosed” and released my tongue instantly.

Look at God! I am still stunned.

My husband, Kenya, was so happy this morning when I told him what had happened. He said, “That’s an exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think kind of blessing!” On a random Tuesday morning, God manifested Ephesians 3:20 in my life, and my soul cries out Hallelujah!

Dad said during our chat, “When we pray, we just believe God. We don’t know how, when, or where He will show up and perform the miracle, but we just know that He will.”

Today was that day for me.

I am sharing my testimony with you to encourage your faith and remind you to keep believing God for change. It may not happen overnight, but change will come—and it will happen when you least expect it. Just continue to pray with expectation, and watch what God does.

Today is the day that God is putting you on notice that a miracle is on the way. And it’s going to show up when you least expect it!
— Dianna Hobbs

As I was writing, God dropped a word in my spirit for somebody reading. He said, “I will open the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

That promise from the Lord is found in Malachi 3:10. In this third chapter, which foretells the coming of the Messiah, God was talking to the Jews. They had turned away from Him in rebellion, but the Lord said if they would be obedient to Him once again, He would bless them.

Though the promise of verse 10 was specifically tied to the Jews’ obedience in giving, the promise in this verse is not solely connected to them and their tithes and offerings—though God does indeed honor financial seeds.

This blessing extends to all those who trust God and dare to take Him at His word and respond with obedience. Whoever will do this will see God show up in a great way and pour out bountiful blessings.

Friend, there are rewards and benefits that God will release to you when you trust Him. When you aren’t even looking for manifestation, that’s when He will manifest His favor.

To prepare you for the good things that are on the way for you, I’m stirring the first portion of  Malachi 3:12 into your cup of inspiration. It says, “Then all the nations will call you blessed…”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, know that if you continue trusting God and obediently following His word, He will open the windows of Heaven and bless you in unexpected ways. Others will stand back in amazement at the blessings God bestows upon you.

Now let’s pray.

God, thank You for reminding me that there are supernatural rewards on the way for me to let me know that my obedience and faithfulness to You is not in vain. Because I trust Your word, I expect great things. I don’t know how, when, or where You will do it. I just know You will, and I praise You in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you desire prayer, please allow me, along with my intercessory prayer team, to stand in faith with you for breakthrough. We would be so honored. We have seen God work over and over again. There is power in agreement. Click here to request prayer now.

As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
